OUR HISTORY

For over 40 years, we have had the pleasure of designing, developing and manufacturing glassfiber composites for a wide range of customers. We handle both tasks for the offshore industry, construction and infrastructure projects and commission tasks for decoration, logo and landmarks. We are happy to help in all phases of the project. All our items are made of quality materials and are carried out with full documentation. ​


We focus on products and projects where there is a high complexity, high demands for quality or special requirements that allows us to design products that can resist the toughest environments, and we can craft a product that can last for many years.

In 1985, Dansk Polyglas A/S was founded by Knud Nielsen. Today, the company is located on Industrievej in Broby on Funen.

 In 2006, Kurt Nielsen took over ownership and the role of managing director in connection with a generational change, from his father, Knud Nielsen, who retired.

Dansk Polyglas A/S is today a project-based company that designs and manufactures components in fiberglass composite and supplies both the wind and the general industry with long-lasting wear-resistant products.

In 2021, private equity fond Generationsskifte Invest II A/S took over the majority of shares in Dansk Polyglas and Lars Bladt took over as chairman of the board. 

On 1 May 2024, Claus Steen Nielsen took over as new managing director and co-owner. Claus Steen Nielsen was most recently at Dansk Stålmontage A/S and previously as factory manager at Dana Technology and has solid management experience within project-based companies.

The partnership between Dansk Generationsskifte, Kurt Nielsen and Claus Steen Nielsen has strengthened Dansk Polygla's position and major commitment in the offshore industry.

Doubled production capacity and safety
In recent years, we have doubled our production capacity and ensured that the increasing size ratios that characterize the development of the offshore industry and wind farms can be accommodated. We have focused on designing and manufacturing a number of unique TP Covers and put energy into creating project-based composite solutions for other industries according to individual goals and wishes from a wide customer segment.

We experience great demand for tailor-made solutions, and we are happy to be able to contribute with many options due to the composite material's flexible formability and raw strength. In recent years, we have invested considerable resources in being at the forefront of all development and innovation. 

Dansk Polyglas is today both a production company and a developing and project-leading collaboration partner who assists customers in developing and manufacturing the right solutions.
